JOB DESCRIPTION

CMC Japan is looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our SAP Delivery team. You will work directly with Japanese customers to develop, customize, and enhance SAP systems while participating in full-cycle implementation and maintenance projects. 

Responsibilities 

• Develop and customize SAP applications using ABAP based on business requirements.  
• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP programs and enhancements.  
• Create and maintain technical specifications, design documents, and unit test reports.  
• Perform debugging, performance optimization, and root cause analysis.  
• Develop and support interfaces using IDoc, BAPI, Enhancement Framework, and other SAP integration technologies.  
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, and enhancement projects.  
• Collaborate with functional consultants and Japanese stakeholders to analyze business requirements.  
• Manage transport requests and follow SAP development lifecycle and coding standards.  
• Provide technical support and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills 

• At least 2 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.  
• Strong hands-on experience with:  
  • Classical & Interactive Reports  
  • ALV Reports  
  • Dialog Programming  
  • Function Modules  
  • BAPI & Enhancement Framework  
  • IDoc  
  • Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP)  
  • CDS Views  
  • SAP S/4HANA Development  
• Experience preparing:  
  • Technical Specifications  
  • Technical Design Documents  
  • Unit Test Reports  
• Good troubleshooting skills, including:  
  • Debugging  
  • Performance Tuning  
  • Root Cause Analysis  
• Familiar with SAP Transport Management and the SAP Development Lifecycle.  

Japanese Skills 

• Japanese proficiency: JLPT N2 or above (N1 is preferred).  
• Able to:  
• Read and understand Japanese design documents and technical specifications.  
• Communicate effectively with Japanese customers during meetings.  
• Explain technical solutions in Japanese.  
• Write emails, progress reports, and technical documentation in Japanese.  
• Participate in or support ABAP technical training conducted in Japanese.
