Job Description

1. HR Management & Policy Development

Policy Development & Standardization: Advise the company on developing and optimizing HR policies, compensation and benefits (C&B), and employee welfare programs in compliance with Japanese Labor Law while aligning with the overall direction of the parent company in Vietnam.

Performance Management: Implement and monitor periodic performance evaluation systems (KPIs/OKRs) for employees in Japan.

Employee Relations & Engagement: Handle employee relations matters, visa procedures, and allowances for Vietnamese employees assigned to Japan; organize employee engagement activities such as team-building events.

HR Operations: Manage attendance, payroll, bonuses, insurance, taxation, and other HR-related services.

2. Training & Team Development

Onboarding & Integration: Organize onboarding programs to help new employees—especially those assigned from Vietnam or newly hired Japanese employees—adapt quickly to the corporate culture.

Capability Development & Language Training: Collaborate with the L&D team in Vietnam to design and deliver training programs on cross-cultural communication, professional skills enhancement, and Japanese business practices and work etiquette (Hou-Ren-Sou, Business Manners).

Career Development: Develop and manage competency frameworks and career development pathways for employees in Japan.

3. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Coordinate with the Management Board in Japan and the Resource Management Department at the parent company to identify workforce needs (BrSE, IT Comtor, Japanese/foreign SEs, and other technical positions).

Carry out recruitment and talent acquisition activities, particularly for key positions in the Japanese market; utilize and manage effective local recruitment channels such as recruitment agencies, LinkedIn, and Japanese job boards.

Employer Branding: Build and strengthen the company’s employer brand in Japan to attract local and international talent.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager in Japan. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in ITO companies, technology companies, or Vietnamese/foreign-invested enterprises in Japan.

Language Skills: Proficient in Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent). Good communication skills in English or Vietnamese are required to work directly with the HR team in Vietnam.

Professional Knowledge: Strong understanding of Japanese Labor Law, as well as insurance, taxation, and visa procedures for foreign employees.

Skills: Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to build relationships and resolve conflicts effectively. High cultural agility to bridge and harmonize Vietnamese and Japanese working styles.
