JOB DESCRIPTION 

Job Overview

We are seeking a Technical Operations Manager with a strong DevOps background to lead operational excellence, service delivery, and infrastructure management initiatives. The role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of enterprise systems while working closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and clients.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership capabilities and is comfortable working in international environments, including onsite assignments in Singapore when required.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Lead day-to-day operations of production systems and services.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance across environments.
  • Establish operational processes, governance models, and service management best practices.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

DevOps & Infrastructure Leadership

  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release management activities.
  • Support infrastructure automation and cloud operations initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps best practices across development and operations teams.
  • Ensure system scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

Incident & Service Management

  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
  • Coordinate production support and escalation handling.
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, operational standards, and customer expectations.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance strategies.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational matters with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, security, and business teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Provide regular service reviews, status updates, and operational reporting.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor technical operations and DevOps team members.
  • Support resource planning, workload management, and performance development.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or IT Operations.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, infrastructure operations, and production support.

DevOps & Cloud Skills

Hands-on experience with:

  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Monitoring and observability tools
  • Linux administration and scripting

Operational Management

  • Experience managing production environments and mission-critical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL principles, incident management, and service delivery practices.
  • Experience defining and managing operational KPIs and SLAs.

Leadership & Communication

  • Experience leading technical teams or operational initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Language Requirements

  • Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working directly with international clients and multicultural teams.
