Seoul, September 11th, 2026 – The 14th NewsPim Asia Forum convened today at the Grand Ballroom of the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul in Yeouido, bringing together government representatives, embassies, KOTRA officials, and business leaders under the theme “The Great AI Transformation and Energy Security: New Coordinates for Asian Cooperation.”  

The forum focused on AI, energy, supply chain restructuring, and practical business cooperation opportunities between Korea and Asian nations, with President Lee Jae-myung scheduled to deliver congratulatory remarks. 

The program featured four country sessions: China, India, Vietnam, and Japan, backed by sponsors including Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Financial Services Commission, KOTRA, the Federation of Korean Industries, KCCI, KITA, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea. The event was broadcast live on the NewsPim TV KYD Live YouTube channel. 

Vietnam Session (Session 3) took center stage with the theme “Vietnam: The Next 10 Years, Where Are Korea – Vietnam Investment Opportunities?”. 

Moderated by NewsPim Deputy Director Chae Song-moo, the panel comprised National Assembly member Choi Eun-seok of the People Power Party, who presented “New Growth of the Global South: The Path to AI Industry Cooperation between Vietnam and India”; Mr. Tuan Pham Viet  (Counselor (Economic Affairs), Vietnamese Embassy in Korea); Mr. Minh Tran Van (CEO, CMC Korea); and Mr. Jung Jun-gyu (Head of KOTRA’s Export Enterprise Division). 

Notably, CEO of CMC Korea, Mr. Minh Tran Van also joined the official discussion panel, representing Vietnamese businesses operating in Korea. At the forum, he noted that Vietnam’s AI market is rapidly moving from experimentation to real-world application. 

With a fast-growing digital economy and rising infrastructure demand, Vietnam is opening up cooperation opportunities in AI, AI Data Centers, Cloud, Smart Factory, cybersecurity, and tech workforce training.
