Tokyo, April 7, 2026 – In the warm atmosphere of the early days of the new fiscal year, CMC Japan, the branch of CMC Global in Japan, had the honor of welcoming H.E. Hieu Pham Quang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan, along with a delegation of officials from the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, for a visit and working session at CMC Japan’s office in Tokyo.
The working delegation included H.E. Ambassador Hieu Pham Quang; Mr. Sau Nguyen, Minister Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan; and Mr. Ngoc Luong Minh, First Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan. Representing CMC Japan were Director Chinh Nguyen Cong, along with the management team and representatives of CMC Japan’s office.
The visit demonstrates the close collaboration between Vietnam’s economic diplomacy efforts and the global expansion strategy of a leading technology enterprise.
CMC Japan – A Typical Representative of Vietnamese Technology Enterprises in the Japanese Market
During the working session, CMC Japan provided an overview of its key activities in the Japanese market, while emphasizing its practical contributions to building a high-quality Vietnamese community in Japan. As the Japanese legal entity of CMC Corporation, with over 32 years of experience, CMC Japan currently has a workforce of more than 3,000 employees, operating a hybrid model combining onsite operations in Japan with offshore operations in Vietnam to deliver comprehensive IT services and solutions.
In addition, CMC Japan proposed several specific cooperation directions to the Ambassador, aiming to promote an effective coordination mechanism between the State and the business sector, thereby creating a solid foundation for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s IT industry in the Japanese market.
Joining Hands to Elevate Vietnamese Technology in Japan
Speaking at the session, Ambassador Hieu Pham Quang expressed his impression of CMC Japan’s capabilities and development direction, emphasizing that technology enterprises like CMC Japan are a source of pride for the diplomatic mission, possessing outstanding, high-quality human resources.
The Ambassador particularly highlighted the role of digital transformation and a community of knowledgeable entrepreneurs, considering them key factors closely linked to the national economic diplomacy development goals. He also acknowledged CMC as a large-scale corporation with many positive contributions and consistent support for the Government in advancing the national digital transformation process.
In the spirit of accompanying the economic diplomacy strategy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CMC Japan actively exchanged ideas on market development directions tailored to Japan’s specific characteristics in the coming period. Representatives of CMC’s office in Japan also put forward several proposals to remove obstacles and further propel Vietnam’s IT industry on this market.
The visit and working session concluded with an agreement to continue strengthening coordination between the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and CMC Japan in the process of international market expansion. Through this connection, CMC Japan hopes to work with the Embassy to gradually establish a substantive cooperation mechanism, contributing to expanding market access for Vietnamese technology enterprises in Japan, while simultaneously enhancing the national brand’s position and reputation on the international stage.
