On November 12th, CMC Global took part in the “Vietnam and AI: From Policy to Action” roundtable, led by Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Mr. Bui The Duy in collaboration with the World Bank Vietnam. The event brought together international figures from government, science, technology, academia, and policy-making to explore AI adoption challenges, policy development, and fostering innovation in Vietnam.

In an open dialogue, Mr. Dang Van Tu, Chief Technology Officer of CMC Global, joined other prominent leaders from the private sector and tech entrepreneurship to discuss their experiences, challenges, and AI use cases in Vietnam. This collaborative forum generated numerous proposals from ministries, companies, and research institutions, focusing on building computing infrastructure, AI data centers, and strengthening public-private partnerships to drive sustainable, trustworthy AI advancement in the country.

Mr. Dang Van Tu emphasized Vietnam’s potential to emerge as a strategic AI hub, leveraging its young, skilled STEM workforce and strong government backing. He also shared CMC Global’s commitment to collaborating with universities to incorporate emerging technology trends into academic programs and to commercialize research innovations from tech institutions.

On September 11th, CMC introduced its AI-X Strategy in Hanoi, followed by its international launch in Japan on September 18. As one of Vietnam’s pioneering corporations embracing AI, CMC aligns with the national digital transformation mission. With a focus on developing an open AI ecosystem through its AI products and partnerships with global tech leaders, CMC is committed to co-developing a National AI Transformation Strategy to contribute to a robust and prosperous Vietnam.
