In response to the growing demand for digital transformation technology in Korea, CMC Corporation has officially launched CMC Korea and opened its office in Seoul on May 8, 2024. This event is part of CMC’s plan to strengthen global operations. 

The grand opening of CMC Korea took place at Sofitel Ambassador Hotel (Seoul, Korea) with the participation of Mr. Vu Ho – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Korea; Dr. Joo Young Sup – PhD, Former SME Minister of Korea, Mr. Trieu Minh Long – Director General of International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Information and Communications; Mr. Kim Jung Pil – Executive Vice President of Samsung SDS, Mr. Seo Hyung Soo – President & CEO of RSupport… and C-level executives of nearly 200 important business partners of CMC Corporation in Korea. 

Guests were greeted by the Board of Directors from CMC Corporation, including Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman & Executive President of CMC Corporation; Mr. Ho Thanh Tung, Executive Vice President, CEO of CMC Corporation; Mr. Dang Ngoc Bao, Executive Vice President of CMC Corporation and CEO of CMC Global; along with other leaders from CMC’s member units. 

Addressing the grand opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman & Executive President of CMC Corporation, stated, “The establishment of our new office in Korea marks a significant milestone in our market expansion efforts, underscoring our firm dedication to investing in and advancing technology, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Korea is currently one of Vietnam’s top economic partners. Both nations have set a mutual trade goal of achieving $150 billion USD in turnover by 2030. According to Korea Times statistics, the Korean government expects to invest $1.35 billion in research and development of new technologies to support digital transformation goals. With the Korean government investing in the information technology segment and the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” between Vietnam and Korea, CMC Corporation has a potential market to mark in its strategic area.

Over time, CMC and Samsung SDS have collaborated closely on numerous projects of diverse scopes and scales. The entire logistics system of Samsung SDS is currently operated by CMC. Currently, the total investment capital between the two sides has reached approximately 20 billion won (about 15 million USD).

Furthermore, CMC aims to sustain growth in human resources, resources, and revenue from 2023 to 2028 by establishing additional offices in key regions with high demand for technology, such as Japan, Korea, Germany, and the United States.
