• Develop test plans, test strategies, estimations, and assign tasks to testing team members.
• Read and understand Japanese project documentation to identify project scope, requirements, and test coverage.
• Conduct QA activities and clarify requirements with Japanese clients; consolidate and communicate clarified information to the team.
• Review test cases, test results, and test evidence produced by team members to ensure quality and adequate test coverage.
• Track defects, analyze impact levels, collaborate with Developers and Business Analysts to resolve issues, and perform retesting.
• Manage testing progress and quality; report test status, risks, and issues to PMs and stakeholders.
• Guide, support, and improve the performance and quality of work of testing team members.
• Participate in improving testing processes, templates, and project quality management practices.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Testing/QA within IT projects.
• Experience as a Test Lead, QA Lead, or in leading software testing teams.
• Japanese proficiency at JLPT N2 level or above; strong ability to read and comprehend Japanese project documentation.
• Ability to conduct QA activities and clarify requirements with Japanese clients through written communication; spoken Japanese communication is a plus.
• Experience in designing and reviewing test cases, managing defects, test evidence, and test reports.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, testing methodologies, and software quality management processes.
• Excellent team management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working on Japanese projects.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira, Confluence, or test management tools.
• Knowledge of API testing, SQL, and Automation Testing is an advantage.
