CMC Korea is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Young Eon Kwon as the new Country Director. With over 25 years of expertise in IT, management consulting, and business development, Mr. Kwon brings a wealth of knowledge and proven experience to lead our operations in the Korean market.
Mr. Kwon’s career spans across multiple industries, including high-tech, manufacturing, and telecom. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles at globally renowned companies such as Accenture, IBM, and SK. His strategic leadership has been instrumental in delivering large-scale consulting projects, including:
- Samsung R&D Innovation Project – Winner of the Samsung Innovation Award in 2005.
- JTBC Foundation Business Plan – First prize awarded by the Korea Communication Commission (KCC) in 2010.
- SK Telecom Customer Care Billing System (CCBS) Master Plan – Successfully led in 2013.
- Foxconn Smart Factory Implementation – Key project delivered in 2017.
- SK China Hospital IT Master Planning – Contributed to this project’s success in 2020.
Most recently, Mr. Kwon served as Director of Global Business & Alliance at SK C&C, leading business development efforts across Japan and the Asian region. He spearheaded a joint venture with a leading Vietnamese outsourcing company, driving cost innovation in IT development and operations for SK Group, achieving a 25% cost reduction in comparison to the previous year.
As the new Country Director, Mr. Kwon is committed to driving CMC Korea forward by leveraging his experience in digital transformation. His leadership will be the key in driving CMC’s future business expansion and fostering stronger partnerships across the IT landscape in Korea.
