Vice President and CEO of CMC Global, Mr. Dang Ngoc Bao, and Vice President of KCG Group, Mr. Yoichi Terashita, exchanged a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in education and training, witnessed by the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other ministers from Vietnam at the Vietnam-Japan Economic Forum held in Tokyo, Japan on December 16.  

The event took place in the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese Government’s high-ranking delegation, who are on a working visit to Japan.

Earlier on December 15 in Kyoto, President of the KCG’s Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) Hasegawa Wataru and CMC Chairman and Executive President Nguyen Trung Chinh signed the agreement aiming to develop high-quality human resources for the Vietnamese and Japanese markets.

Under the agreement, the two sides will exchange educational models, management experiences, lecturers and students, as well as share IT application experiences in the digital society according to Japan’s Society 5.0 model. In human resource supply cooperation, CMC Corporation will also prioritize recruiting KCG and KCGI graduates to work at CMC Japan in Japan and Vietnam. In addition, CMC Education will exchange and introduce students to study bachelor’s degree programs at Kyoto Computer Institute and graduate training programs at KCGI.

Evaluating the new cooperation agreement between CMC and KCG Group, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh said that “this historic cooperation agreement will bring many effective implementation programs on education and training between the two parties, Through this, it will contribute to training more high-quality, world-class information technology experts for the country in the future.”

Mr. Wataru Hasegawa especially emphasized that the signing of the cooperation agreement is a milestone marking the cooperation and development between KCG and CMC. He stated: “We chose to cooperate with CMC because CMC is one of Vietnam’s leading information technology and telecommunications enterprises. This cooperation agreement will be a premise for the two sides to support each other, serving the common interests of research and teaching activities in the training of high-quality human resources.”

Kyoto Computer Academy (KCG) was established in 1963 and is the first educational institution providing computer training in Japan. In 2004, Kyoto Computer Corporation established Kyoto Graduate School of Information Technology (KCGI), the first school to provide specialized training in information technology at the graduate level in Japan.
