This morning, on August 28, CMC Global was honored to participate in the seminar, “Vietnam Innovation Ecosystem: Spotlight on IC Design & Emerging Technologies,” an event held as part of the Market Access Mission to Hanoi & Bac Ninh, Vietnam, organized by the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA). The event brought together key representatives from Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem and the Singaporean semiconductor community to share insights on Vietnam’s developing capabilities in IC design and supporting foundational technologies.

The discussion panels provided attendees with a comprehensive view of several strategic aspects. Speakers emphasized the essential role of the government in promoting technology R&D and strengthening international cooperation. The seminar also highlighted Vietnam’s strengths and aspirations in critical sectors like IC design, AI, and digital infrastructure. Furthermore, representatives from multinational corporations shared how they are actively contributing to developing high-quality human resources and building a sustainable ecosystem in Vietnam.

Notably, during the event, Mr. Cong Pham Van, Head of Data at CMC Global, represented the company to share new technologies that are strongly supporting the development of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry. His presentation focused on the specialized application of Data and AI solutions, providing tangible use cases from CMC Global’s portfolio. These applications included using AI/ML for quality inspection, automated fault detection, and predicting production yield. Mr. Công also introduced a data platform that serves operational analysis, ensuring end-to-end quality traceability and optimizing overall productivity. He also touched upon a flexible computing infrastructure designed to support simulation/EDA tasks and accelerate the testing process. Another key highlight was the secure data collaboration model between businesses, academia, and international partners, designed to jointly develop IC design capabilities.

CMC Global’s participation in this event was not only a significant milestone for Vietnam-Singapore semiconductor cooperation but also underscored CMC Global’s pioneering role as a bridge, showcasing the new technological capabilities Vietnam can offer to support the semiconductor value chain. This promotional activity aligns perfectly with Vietnam’s national development orientation in the semiconductor field, which aims to build core competencies in design, data, and AI, improve digital infrastructure, and foster a high-quality workforce. CMC Global affirmed its readiness to collaborate closely with SSIA and other partners to launch pilot projects, training programs, co-R&D initiatives, and expand cooperation in the key areas of IC design, Data, and AI.
